Varanam Aayiram Surya Final Shoot

Gautham Menon's 'Varanam Aayiram' starring Surya, Divya Spandana, Sameera Reddy and Simran is shaping up very fast. With musical score by Harris Jayaraj, the movie has already hogged the headlines for Surya appearing with six pack abs in the film.

Meanwhile, a few important sequences for the movie were shot in the Air Force Station in Sulur near Coimbatore recently. It featured Surya along with NSG Commandos appearing in a stunt sequence.

After a great ordeal, permission was obtained to shoot at the air force station. Gautham Menon and Suriya share a good rapport as their previous film 'Khaakha Khaakha' had hit the bull's eye.

Expectations are very high on 'Varanam Aayiram' as the movies is nearing completion and getting ready for release.

Vaaranam Aayiram Surya and Simran Songs

Vaaranam Aayiram is about father-son relationship and Surya puts in various appearances ranging from a youth to an old man. Produced at a big budget by Oscar Films, music is by Harris Jayaraj.Ramya and Sameera Reddy pair with Surya while Simran is said to be his heroine when Surya portrays an aged person.All the important scenes have been shot. Only a song sequence featuring Simran and Surya about reminiscences of their youth, is to be picturised.

Vaaranam Ayiram songs

Vaaranam Ayiram song, Adiye Kolluthe has made its way into the fast growing popular media, the internet. Gautam Menon the director of Vaaranam Aayiram confirms this.

Looks like the song found its way to the internet because an employee who worked with Gautam and who was shown the door more than six months ago, had taken the CD containing a song sequence. Menon added that those sequences were raw and unedited.

Gautham Vasudeva Menon's action drama Vaaranam Aayiram has Surya , Simran, Divya and Sameera Reddy in the lead roles. The movie is produced by Aascar Films, V.Ravichandran.

Vaaranam Aayiram on August 15

Time and now, we are not able to exactly find out the release date of Vaaranam Aayiram. Finally, after many obsessions from producer Oscar V Ravichandran, Gowtham has somehow managed to complete the movie. And now comes the happy news that Vaaranam Aayiram will finally hit the screens on August 15 for the occasion of Independence Day.

Sameera on Surya

Vaaranam Aayiram directed by Gautham Menon is nearing completion and the film has Simran, Sameera Reddy and Divya in the lead roles. While talking about her co-star Surya, Sameera Reddy states that it is very difficult to perform well especially in the presence of a talented actor like Surya.

She further says, "I have done films in Telugu and Hindi but the role in Vaaranam Aayiram was very challenging and I thoroughly enjoyed doing it." To a further query on her character in the film, the lady preferred to be tight lipped. She is also amazed at the way Surya kept losing and gaining weight for the film and found it difficult to counter him in many scenes which resulted in many retakes from her side. On her next project in Tamil, Sameera said that she has been lassoed on to Gautham Menon's next project with Ajith.

Gautham speaks on Varanam Aayiram

Gautham Menon is a busy director in Tamil cinema today. The director, who is known for his serious action films, is currently directing Suriya for 'Varanam Aayiram'.

Buzz is that he would be directing Vikram next. Busy completing 'Varanam Aayiram', the ace director chose time off his busy schedule to share his views on how 'Varanam Aayiram' has shaped up.

'It's a simple film about a youngster and his experiences in life. He lives life fully, discovers something new every moment. He is on the verge of life every moment.'

On his next, he says, 'We have started work on 'Chennaiyil Oru Mazhaikaalam', with Trisha in the lead and several other newcomers- Sandhya, Nikita, Veera, Karthik, Shyam and Satish. It is going to be a fun film about several people falling in love left and right'.

15 million rupees worth camera damaged

Oscar Ravichandran produced Vaaranam Aayiram (Varanam Ayiram), which is starred by Surya and Sameera Reddy is getting ready.

Shooting was taken for a song sequence in which an expensive camera was used.  A technician from Mumbai was handling the camera, by wearing it in his hip belt.

Un-expectedly he fell down and suffered head injuries.  He was immediately given medical treatment.  While he fell down, the camera that he was wearing in his belt, fall down and broken.  The value of the camera is said to be 15 million rupees worth.

Shooting was cancelled temporarily and another camera of the same quality was brought and shooting continued.

When Oscar Ravichandran was contacted to comment, he says "In shooting spot, these kind of accidents are normal, even though its all very very rare events!"
